About Miss Emily

While growing up in Allentown, Pennsylvania, art was always at the forefront of my life. Initially I chose to continue my passion for art as an IDS (Interdisciplinary Digital Studio) major at Penn State University before finding my love for teaching children. I switched into Art Education and never looked back. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Art Education in December of 2017.

I particularly love printmaking and graphic design as the focus of my artist practice. While I consider these to be my main focus, I enjoy experimenting with all forms of art making and bringing the techniques I learn to love to my students. I have experience working with children at summer camps, as a childcare provider, being a guest art teacher at Gray's Woods Elementary School in Port Matilda, PA, as the lead teacher in the preschool art class at Penn State University's Saturday Art School, and Student Teaching in Pittsburgh, PA.

Outside of the classroom, I am also a barre3 instructor at both barre3 Allentown and Bethlehem.

Please enjoy this portfolio of my artwork and art educator experiences.
